My Favourite Apps

Hey Everyone!

I’ve decided to give you a list of my favourite apps I have on my iPhone. I am sure most of these are available on android as well :)
Some of these, you may already have, some you may have never even heard of!

*I didn’t include: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

Screen Shot 2013-10-07 at 2.48.08 PM – FREE – I was a bit skeptical at first, but this app is AH MAZING! If you’re spend happy, this is the app for you! It uses the same security software your banking apps use, so it’s completely secure. The initial set up takes a couple minutes, but it’s all completely worth it. You can either set your own budgets, or it’ll set them for you! At the end of the week, you’ll get weekly financial summary, close to credit and upcoming bill notifications. I HIGHLY recommend trying out this app!

Screen Shot 2013-10-07 at 2.49.14 PM Pinterest – FREE – If you’re a Pinterest user like me and are completely addicted, like me, this is a great app! Have all your pins and boards with you! At the grocery store and see something that reminds you of that great recipe you saw but can’t remember what else you need? This app will definitely come in handy!

Screen Shot 2013-10-07 at 2.50.01 PM Snapchat – FREE – If you’re one that likes to send goofy pictures to your friends, but don’t want to suffer the humiliation of screen capture? You can set the amount of time it shows on your friend’s screen, it doesn’t allow them to screen capture it and if they try to, the app will notify you!

Screen Shot 2013-10-07 at 2.52.59 PM Map my Walk – FREE – This is great if you want to track your walk, run or bike ride! It even tracks through trails, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to get an accurate reading if your route of choice goes through one! If you don’t want to constantly use the GPS for the same route, you don’t have to use it, select a previous route, it’ll use previous data and current pace to track your stats!

Screen Shot 2013-10-07 at 2.54.23 PM Motion X: GPS Drive– $0.99 – This app is great if you don’t need the voice command (that costs extra) and need it for a once in a while GPS. I personally paid the extra for the voice, so that on my bike, I can just listen to the directions.

Screen Shot 2013-10-07 at 2.56.08 PM Songza – FREE – A great app with pre- made play lists: “Driving”, “Energy Boost”, “Brand New Music”, “College Life”, to name a few. These pre-made lists, go based off of the day and time of the week. I love this app for getting ready in the mornings because I don’t have to listen to commercials on the radio.

Screen Shot 2013-10-07 at 2.58.01 PM Rdio – FREE (2 week trial) – Want to listen to a band’s whole discography? Rdio is awesome when it comes to searching and listening to music – only downside is after 2 weeks the monthly subscription goes up to $14.99 (nothing in life is free, right?). At the very least, take advantage of the 2 weeks! Plus side? It has unlimited listening of radio stations :)

Screen Shot 2013-10-07 at 3.01.58 PM Countdown+ – FREE – I am one of those people who LOVES to know how many days until my next special event (As of Oct 7 at 3:35PM EST: 53 days until Janine’s Birthday (and the P!nk concert), Christmas: 78 days, Anth’s birthday: 82 days) I also like to know how many days it’s been SINCE an event, I’m weird, I know! (504 days since I took home my motorcycle). It has a nice, bright layout – definitely great for counting down to a birthday or vacation!

Screen Shot 2013-10-07 at 3.00.23 PM App of the day – FREE – Everyday, this app updates with apps that typically range in price, from $0.99 – $9.99 (that’s the most expensive I’ve personally seen) for absolutely free!

Screen Shot 2013-10-07 at 4.20.42 PM

Tone It Up – $0.99 – set the in app alarm for your morning “booty call”, get your motivation from the in app message board & workouts and recipes from your trainers K&K ♡

*These are all personal recommendations based on my experiences

Hope you enjoy!

Traveling?? These apps will help!

I recently went on a trip to Europe, and decided to share some apps I found extremely useful in planning, that you may enjoy!

Tourist Eye

TouristEye – This app allows you to create trips, share them and even create visual itineraries, so you know how much you’ll be looking to spend. Another bonus? it’s free! highly recommend checking it out!

Rick StevesRick Steves Audio Europe – Is an audio guide, so rather than paying for a tour, you can take a personal audio tour at your own pace. You’ll have to download the tours for the places you go before hand, but after, it’s completely wireless! Oh, this one is free too!

City Maps 2Go

City Maps 2go– is an offline map, that allows you to download your map before hand and pick the landmarks you’d like to go to, so that you don’t have to sift through different maps or worry about losing them! The standard version is $2.99 however, they have a lite version you could try for free, before committing to the purchase.

Travel ChecklistEssential Travel Checklist – I am a last minute packer, but I think of everything I’ll need, weeks before. When it comes time to pack though, I forget everything I’ve thought of, some of which are pretty important, that’s why this app is my lifesaver! It costs $1.99 but is worth it, if you don’t want to purchase an app, there are a couple of free apps on the app store, this one just worked best for me! It comes pre- loaded with a couple of lists, so if you think you’re forgetting to add something, just take a peak and it may jog your memory ;)

Hope these helped a bit, and saves you some headaches!
